1. Data controller

Kalimera Business SRL (VAT: RO18005949, Reg. Com.: J40/16606/2005, registered office: Bd. Iuliu Maniu 7, Cotroceni Business Center, Building A, 2nd floor, Bucharest) processes personal data as a controller, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Data protection contact: office@kalimera.ro.

2. What data we process

• Contact data: name, email, phone—when you contact us or request a quote.
• Data in submitted materials: content sent for translation may include personal data; we process it solely to provide the service.
• Billing data: data needed to issue invoices, per legal obligations.
• Technical data: information collected via the site (IP address, browser type), strictly as needed for its operation.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the requested services — basis: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Issuing and keeping invoices — basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• Responding to requests and commercial communication — basis: legitimate interest or consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).

4. Disclosure

Data may be disclosed, strictly as needed, to: translators and reviewers involved in the project (contractually bound to confidentiality), public notaries (for notarization), IT and hosting providers, and public authorities where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal data.

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

We process data in the European Union. If a project requires a transfer outside the EU/EEA, it is carried out only with adequate safeguards under GDPR (standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).

6. Retention

• Materials submitted for translation: for the duration of the project and a reasonable period afterwards for possible revisions, then deleted.
• Financial-accounting documents: per legal archiving periods.
• Commercial correspondence: up to 3 years from the last interaction.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and the right not to be subject to automated decisions. Exercise your rights at office@kalimera.ro; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotection.ro).

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures: role-based access, contractual confidentiality for all collaborators, secure file transfer and deletion of materials at the end of the retention period.

9. Cookies and traffic statistics

The site uses strictly necessary cookies and, only with your prior consent, traffic analytics cookies via Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.). We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data.

Measurement runs only after you press "Accept" in the consent banner (Google Consent Mode v2 — the default state is "denied"). The data collected consists of aggregated usage statistics (pages visited, visit source, device type); Google Signals is disabled, so the data is not associated with Google accounts and is not used for advertising profiles. The retention period in Google Analytics is 14 months.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser ("Clear site data"), after which the banner will be shown again. Declining does not affect the functioning of the site in any way.
